The Soul Behind

We are Tânia and Isaac, a couple living in Lisbon with our three wonderful children. For over a decade, we worked as art directors in the fast-paced world of advertising, where creativity was at the heart of everything we did. It was during this time that our paths crossed, and we began to shape our lives together, blending our passion for design, art, and living authentically.

As years passed, we realized that we craved something more meaningful — a way of life that allowed us to slow down, connect more deeply with nature, and create something that truly reflected who we are. This led us to embrace the concept of slow living and plant the seeds for what would eventually become Native Souls.

Why We Do What We Do

Our decision to create Native Souls stems from a desire to live more intentionally. After years of working in environments where speed and deadlines took precedence, we realized that the things we truly value—family, nature, creativity—needed more space to breathe. Native Souls is our way of building a life where those values are front and center. It’s not just about offering a place to stay; it’s about providing an experience that encourages others to slow down, connect, and rediscover the beauty in the simple moments.

Why We Are Here

We’re here because we believe in creating a space where people can experience life at a slower, more mindful pace. Native Souls is nestled in a place that invites reflection, connection, and creativity. Whether you’re looking to escape the rush of everyday life, reconnect with nature, or find inspiration through art and community, we want Native Souls to be that sanctuary.

Our Impact on the Planet

We are deeply committed to living sustainably and minimizing our impact on the environment. From the materials we choose in our renovations to the way we manage resources, every decision is made with sustainability in mind. At Native Souls, we strive to harmonize with nature rather than disrupt it, offering our guests an eco-conscious retreat that aligns with their own values of mindful, responsible living.

Looking Ahead: The Future

As we look to the future, our vision for Native Souls continues to evolve. We aim to create not just a destination, but a movement—where people can experience the intersection of nature, creativity, and community in a meaningful way. We hope to grow this space into a hub for artistic residencies, wellness retreats, and cultural exchanges, all while maintaining our commitment to slow living and sustainability.

For us, Native Souls isn’t just a project; it’s a way of life that we’re excited to share with others as we continue this journey.
